The reason i started this blog, back in 2010 was to write about my first pregnancy. I was pregnant with Honor at the time and i didn’t have a whole lot of people to talk to. Sometimes i couldn’t sleep and felt like i just had to record the miracle somehow before it disappeared. I had to make sense of what might be keeping me awake at night. Every little kick, every waking moment felt so surreal. I was in love with the baby i had yet to meet and i could not contain my excitement. I guess i was putting my poor husband out of his misery by giving myself an outlet. He had heard it all. He was by my side every second, but i turned to this blog as a second place, to help me along the way.

I look back at those entries and am so glad that i wrote them. I used it as a reference when i was pregnant the second time to “check on certain symptoms”. I looked back to see if i was craving the same things, i looked to see when i was sleeping abnormally, i looked back to see when i first felt kicks. I was able to compare the two pregnancies side by side. It was all in front of me.

After Honor was born, the blog entries became less frequent. I only updated when something “important” happened. Whenever there was a significant milestone i tried to make sure i recorded it. I think I did pretty well considering my mother gave up on my baby book at about 6months. This blog, is probably the only written record of anything that happened in their baby days. I am glad to be doing what i can with the time that i have for this blog.

So dear babies, if youre reading this, you are probably looking into the past. Right now, you can’t read or write, in fact (Honor) you are only learning to speak. I hope that this blog has helped you in some way or at the very least entertained you. I will continue to write as long as i am able. I hope to preserve every minute that you are with me. I will soak up every moment. Perhaps, thats why these entries only happen once in awhile. I am busy spending my days with you, making sure to meet your every need.

I’d like to use this post as a record, to continue what i hope will be documented memories that i can return to when my babies are all grown up. To look back, and see how much i love them, and all their little milestones.

Honor 2years old (28months)

favorite movie: toy story

loves to eat: (diny shaped) chicken nuggets, cereal, ghram crackers, cheese roll ups, peanut butter sandwiches, mac n cheese, sweet potatoes

sleepy time: goes to bed between 8-9 , must have a sippy cup and night light on but will cuddle up and sleep on his own

vocabulary: mama, dada, buh (buzz), didi (woody), err (car), woo woo (doggy), ny nee (night night), woh woh wooo! (to infinity and beyond), bee (please), baby, wah (walk), du (shoe) two, roh uh (roll up) wammy (sandwich), gahgah (cracker), deep deep, (dip dip AKA, ketchup, syrup) YAY, yeh (yes), noh (no), baba, bah (bath, ball), buck (truck), ming ming (wonderpets), diny, beh (bed)

Also mimics sounds, uses some signs, signals (ie; shivers to ask for blanket) and can do almost any animal noise

naps: one nap a day usually between 2-4pm

size 3T fits him best right now, size 8 shoe

potty training has yet to begin in full force

FAITH 4months

sleeping through the night (usually up to 10 hours!)

size 6months fits her best right now size 2 shoe

rolling over front to back and back to front

LOVES: baths, being held, watching brother, eating, playing with hanging toys

eating 6-7 ounces every 2-3 hours and oatmeal and veggies once a day.

Family update:

We are settling into our home in Washington and taking it one day a time. It seems like every week we are saying “where did the time go” and “our boy is getting so big”. We are hoping we can remember each and ever second of these days while they are little. These times are so precious and i will cherish them forever <3

We’ve slowly unpacked now, husband is back to work and babies have started out today on a good foot.

Looking at little sleeping Faith, i see peace and content. I think our family is where we are supposed to be, we are doing what we are supposed to be doing and we are going where we are being lead.

Honor is talking more. i plan to write a post with updates on both babies milestones. For now, we continue to settle into our new home, stay healthy and grow as a family :)

Exactly one year ago, we had just miscarried, sold our car and given away almost all our furniture. we had almost nothing.

Finally, after much heartache, my husband was placed here in Providence for work.

Since then, we’ve had another baby, celebrated Honor’s 2nd bday, moved into a house, recieved a car, i started school, and now here we are today, exactly one year later. Moving to the west coast. (Pit stop in Toledo).

We have been restored in 2012. This is not because of us, but because of who HE is.

Thank you Jesus, for giving us life that is FULL.
