7 Months old

The other day you decided to scoot yourself over to Daddy’s game collection to see what sorts of fun is in store for you in the future. We also added an Xbox to our fun station.

As every mother, father and grandparent would say ..”Where did the time go!?”  It seems like a lot of friends and family are re-expieriencing “baby stages” and we are all going through this together. All of our friends have watched you struggle to roll over, glow with wonder at a new toy, giggle at silly things and even cry your heart out. Every stage seems to be shared with everyone around you.

There have been some incredible changes lately, in your sleep schedule, in your awake time, in your day to day mood. Its all moving so quickly. I find myself getting quite sad when you fall asleep earlier and earlier. Its like my time with you is being cut short. I know you need your rest dear baby, so sleep peacfully my sweet boy.

Here is your 7 month update:

You Like:

  • oatmeal,apples,pears, bananas,pickles
  • sweet potatoes (favorite) , peas, carrots
  • gerber baby snacks
  • balloons!!!
  • Veggie Tales DVDs
  • watching Nick Jr.
  • pulling hair
  • piggy back rides on daddy
  • rides in the car
  • Green Soothie ninnies
  • All your blankies
  • playing peek-a-boo
  • bubbles!
  • snuggles

You have been falling asleep between 8-9 the last few nights, which has been very strange for us. You normally dont fall asleep until after 10pm, and even then, you usually wake up crying a few times before going down for the night. It seems as if a wave of exhaustion has come over you but the early bedtime has become a routine.

You are mainly still on formula, eating fruits around noon-time, and veggies at night time, however we skip baby food feedings at home sometimes because you are cranky and just want your ‘baba’. I need to work on feeding you at a more appropriate time instead of waiting until you are hungry.

All in all you are the best baby a mommy could ask for. You play so nicely and so quietly when i need extra rest you let mommy dose off next to you (when we surround you safely with pillows, of course). You are getting so big and can do so many more things.

  • You have 2 teeth!!!
  • weigh around 23 or 24 pounds (we find out exact measurments at the doc next week!
  • no words yet, but you like to let out these cute little noises of excitement
  • you smile so big and so often
  • you can roll front-to-back and back-to front
  • you can pull yourself to a sitting position from the floor
  • you can sit for a very long time without falling over
  • scoot backwards to get around
  • “reach” for people when you want to be picked up

we are so proud of you baby boy and enjoy every second of your little life. We are incredibly blessed and words cannot express how much we love you. THank you for being our little angel<3<3<3
