Rooted.

How could i not be jumping for joy everytime i see your little face?

This past weekend daddy and i had a winter retreat with our youth group. Long story, short, we learned that we are still learning to lean into the Lord. 

The theme for the weekend was “staying rooted in God’s word”. in order to grow in faith we must seek him out daily and stay in his word. I believe that we’ve taken this nugget and applied it to our life. I believe our family will never “go without” as long as we are trusting in the lord and moving where he needs us to move.

Obviously, Satan knew that we had an incredible expierence with God, because he is trying SO hard to rain on our spirits. Fortuanatly though, he has not succeeded.

Despite our car being towed, negativity within family and friends, and a whole LOAD OF CRAP on facebook that trys to hinder me, i recognize this and choose not to let it consume me.

I know ive grown as a person spiritually, emotionally, and every other way because such events would have me broken, worried, and angry. Instead, im praising Jesus because nothing im facing compares to the CROSS and what he has done for me.

If it takes a million trials of my suffering, pain, loss, in order to bring HIM glory, then bring it.

As the song says “Jesus, bring the rain”
